In the last two days I have started a blog and joined the world of Twitter! All year people have been trying to get me to -"start a blog, join twitter, get a facebook fanpage or a website" and all year I have resisted...and now after Stargate Universe's episode "Darkness" aired on Friday night, I find myself with something to say. Something that people may or may not want to read. As an actor, Stargate Universe has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. The producers have created the best atmosphere! I love going to work. I love the character I get to play, I love the people I get to act with, and I love the crew. I am now introduced to the fans. What an amazing franchise that so many people out there are so passionate about our show. It is a gift to be involved in something that people have opinions about. As an actor it is an honor for people to have opinions about you. Better that then nothing at all, right? I play 2nd Lt. Vanessa James and for all the talk about my natural (and believe me they are 100%) assets I promise you that there is much more to my character. Who knew that a tank top could cause such a stir. LOL!! Our show is about people and people have sexuality. The creators are not exploiting it, they are exploring it. That is what writers, actors and directors do. I thank all of you for your kind words and excitement about the show- it is thrilling to be in this world and I hope that you continue to enjoy SGU as the season goes on. You will get to see all of the characters grow! Aaaah first blog done! Thanks for reading...I promise to post again soon.

For one thing the people who make lost certainly know about the stir a single tank top can cause. They use it regularly. I am amzed though to find that people think that sex was being exploited on SGU? Sure there's more of it than SG1 or Atlantis. But it's not overdone and it fits the situation. I would continue but this is your bblog not mine.
Girlfriend, you rock those assets of yours. All we girls want is some equal time for boy assets, too. ;) (Mostly because fanboys always berated us for squeeing over the likes of Han Solo and Jack O'Neill.)
Welcome to the blogosphere!
Welcome to the Stargate franchise and its fans. Looking forward to seeing more of Lt. James' "relationship" (assuming they still have one, or that they were a couple before "Air" pt. 1) with Lt. Scott and her possible love/hate friendship with Eli. Hopefully she'll get to interact with more of the female characters as well. Enjoying SGU a lot so far. Looking forward to the rest of the season and here's hoping the show gets picked up for a second season.
I actually became intereted in your character in the pilot, which was before your assets were so prominantly displayed. Not that I'm complaining, of course. :)
I look forward to learning more about Vanessa James as the season progresses.
Very happy to see you interacting with your fans! ^_^
What pablowapsi said. Making an effort to keep to an online community is commendable and something that really makes fans feel closer to their admiree's. I hope you continue posting!
It's awesome to start following a blog right from the beginging.
It's always an adventure dealing with the fans. But for all the online insanity and whining that Stargate shows produce online, they're a great group of people in person.
So let it filter. Folks will adjust and then be just as passionate defending the wonderfulness that is your character.
The only thing I noticed from "Darkness" was that another strong female ass-kicker was on the TV screen and that, my friend, is always a good thing. I'm also known @FatherWizard on Twitter.
You sound like a really nice person and I wish you well.
The camera highlighted your "assets" quite specifically in Darkness, so it is natural for fans, particularly those who enjoy such things, to comment.
They are part of your toolkit as a female actor and I am sure that while you do not wish your career to be based on them, they have assisted you in gaining roles and fans.
Embrace them for what they provide you, but don't let them define you. And take care of yourself physically - I say this as a woman with several friends who have had reductions due to back pain and other issues.
Julia, love your work, it's great to see you in another Stargate series! Trust me when I say this, your character is certainly a kick ass one!
Love ALL of your assets, esp. your talent on screen and can't wait to see you again next Friday night :)
Welcome to the Stargate Realm Julia! Success is coming your way!
Hello Julia
I am glad you started a blog. Speaking for myself, and probably a lot of other guys I would bet, just because I first noticed how beautiful you are and your amazing "assets," as you call them, doesn't mean I don't take you seriously as an actress and respect you as a lady. I look forward to seeing what you can do on StarGate Universe. I have been a fan of StarGate since the movie. I hope you enjoy being a part of the StarGate family.
Hi Julia,
Welcome to Stargate. I'm glad to note that in your twitter you mentioned that you were still filming. As Joe Mallozzi mentioned that filming on the finale is being prepped/started, I take it that means your character survives the season, which is good. Hopefully most of you will make it into next Season (and hopefully there is a next Season). :)
The Stargate fandom is an interesting thing, something you only probably got a small inkling of back when you did that Atlantis ep (wearing a top that was far more revealing than any tank top ever could be). I've never been to any of the conventions, but seeing the shots and hearing the reports, there is a general level of total acceptance for everyone who's ever been on Stargate, be their role in the show a small one or a big one. There aren't many places you can go where you'll have an instant fan base, and it's clear that you've picked up quite a big following already (someone mentioned to me that you were the number 12 most searched thing on Google last Saturday - but whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you!).
As for the -other- issue, I'd take it as a compliment. Sure, it's somewhat juvenile, but someone as attractive as you can hardly be alien to the concept of guys liking how you look. I'm just glad that you can back it up by playing an interesting and hopefully soon-to-be-fully-fleshed-out character. Also, as was mentioned in another comment, there are a significant number of female Stargate fans - in some cases outnumbering us guys - so for years we've had the 'Thunkers' (ask Joe who they are if you don't already know) and their endless discussions about RDA, Michael Shanks and Joe Flannigan. It comes with the territory.
To put it another way - welcome to the crazed mosh-pit that is the Stargate fandom. You'll get used to us crazies eventually. :D
- Matt
Hi! Great to see that you're starting a blog :) I hoped to see more of you from your appearance in Air I, and loved you in Darkness! As an aside, as a girl with about your figure, I liked seeing a portrayal on TV of someone who wasn't stick thin in the chest department, or who wasn't there to make a joke.
I shall definitely be following you here and on Twitter, and looking forward to your future appearances on SGU!
I think you did a great job in the last episode. Oh, and you looked beautiful also. I wasn't too sure about Universe after the premiere, but the last two episodes have won me over. There will always be people who will never be happy-- don't pay attention to them. You're doing great.
Nice to have you on the web.
By the way the link on your twitter isn't connecting to this blog. Think it's a syntax issue. There's a"-/" at the end of the link.
I'm glad they are giving you material to make Vanessa a fully-realized character. I thought she was going to just be a "scorned woman" and instead she has gotten to show a range of emotion: cajoling, disgust, toughness.
She is a great counterpoint/complement to Eli, as the characters are the same age, but Vanessa could kill and eat 'mathboy' if she needed to.
It is great that due to the wonderful writing and very talented acting, your character was able to stand out in an episode with only limited screen time. You can tell that this show really is going to be about character development. Honestly I don't know what all the fuss is about. They said at Comic-Con that this show was going to feature strong, intelligent, beautiful women. And you definitely fit those categories.
I guess you found out the hard way that Stargate fans are passionate and opinionated! This probably doesn't help much, but I was there when a "fan" berated Amanda Tapping for a certain magazine spread she did (she looked beautiful and adorable as only Amanda can and I thought it was tasteful but this other person apparently didn't). I'm also pretty sure that Rachel Luttrell got negative comments regarding the costumes she had to wear on Atlantis.
So if anything, you're in great company!
You bring great intensity to your role in SGU. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take your character. Cheers!
I loved the tank top (I vote that the tank top should have it's own Facebook account). If it weren't for that tank top I most likely would not know the name Julia Benson and I would never have found this website. I will be a fan for as long as you wear tank tops (or catsuits, pleated skirts, pleather, lace, leather chaps, et al).
I'm a guy. You offer me a good show, and then add epic tank tops and lasers on top of it... Awesome, I'm in.
Yay! Yet another strong, gifted woman to join the Stargate franchise! I'm glad to see that the writers are expanding on the character of Lt. James, more than just one of the supposting characters in Air. I love the thought of Lt. James kicking Eli's butt, and i like the fact that you play the character with that strength built-in. Thank you for bringing this now character alive! I hope you can get used to all us crazed Stargate Fans!
I'm sure we'll learn a lot more about Vanessa as the season unwinds. The aspect that most intrigues me about the show is the ongoing story arc. The show seems to be moving more towards a telenovel or ongoing story than the usual SG one-off episodic approach. Keep up the good work!
Controversial? Tanktop? Its just what women wear to attract men.
Only thing i found mentionable is how she lures Eli to the crowd. Its something from everyday life put into fiction: women use assets and mould men. I was glad to see this written and depicted as i can't stand dick-brained men.
Maybe thats the problem in the USA. Its only offensive if you are afraid of actually going through what already was in your head. If it doesn´t make sense.. rinse repeat.
It's only an issue with those uncomfortable in their own skin. The content of the show and the talent of the crew along with the story lines should be the only concern. But yes, You looked hot! Nothing wrong with that either.
Woody
As is the way of things in fandom, the 'Fans of Julia Benson' are sure to generate a collective noun for themselves, in fairly short order.
One can only hope [For your sake! :)] it is something as salubrious as 'Bensonites', but given the circumstances 'Tankers', 'Toppers' or something much more 'pointed' [See what I did there? It's starting already!], seems more likely.
As for the, "Who knew that a tank top could cause such a stir? LOL!":
Pretty much everbody on the production, who ever saw that quick shot of Sigourney Weaver, in a white singlet in Alien [Aaah! The Seventies! A younger, more innocent time (now that's LOL), when few could even dream of something as exotic, as a tank top for women.] would have seen this coming [or at least hoped for it!].
No matter, it's here now, so enjoy the "Fifteen Minutes" (I always thought that Andy Warhol quote was a bit of a downer) for whatever fun it brings, and I hope you get as much out of it in the long term as Ms.Weaver has! :)
Your first blog is great, and it is equally as great having you on the web! You portray 2nd Lt. James incredibly well and im looking forward to seeing her grow. You have caught my attention over many of the 'main' cast members. Oh my, where are my manners?.. Welcome to the World of Stargate! Its a pleasure to have you!!
Just watched 'Darkness' tonight (I'm in the UK). I see why some people may think it's exploitative but, in context, I disagree. Perhaps if Vanessa hadn't had the luring-Eli scene, then, yes, I could see it being a bit creepy. But your character had already established herself as pretty fearless and dominant. So, Vanessa's reaction to the pervcam was perfect: contempt and disdain. That's a lot of character development packed into a relatively few seconds!
And your point is well made - we're humans, we fancy and ogle each other. That's what the cam incident was bringing to the table in a different way to previous Stargates.
Well done and hope you enjoy the tweeting, blogging world! :-)
I, too, have kind words and excitement about your (natural) assets. I mean, the view.. err, show.
This show is looking surprisingly good so far -- I was expecting less based on the buzz going around towards the end of the last series, but have been pleasantly surprised so far.
Hopefully "2nd Lt. Vanessa James" gets to bring some ass-kicking and depth to go with the looks.
All the best and good luck in the upcoming episode-making of SGU.
Good luck with the Stargate Universe, it's a great show. :)
Best of luck with all of your projects. I hope the SGU experience is a good one for you. You seem to have a great group of people around you; actors, writers, producers and staff. I know creative people like yourself are sometimes busy from sunrise to well past sunset but take time to enjoy the process. Continue to have confidence in yourself and the courage of your convictions.
Such a delight to find your blog here after watching the latest Stargate Universe episode. It's wonderful that you take the time to interact with your fans here.
Your all too brief appearance in a tank top has made me an instant fan! I must admit a screen capture from that scene has become a beautiful new desktop wallpaper for my PC. And your parenthetical comment about your beautiful assets being 100% natural made me chuckle.
I look forward to enjoying your appearances in future episodes! Best of luck with the series!
Julia-
Delighted at how you're handling "BoobGate"!! Total class! Looking forward to great things from you!
Your profile says you're a producer as well. Would you mind doing a writeup on that? What kind of projects outside of SGU are you working on?
Please keep up the great work! And don't you dare let them kill James off!

I just find it odd no more people have came seaching for your (brand new) blog. Guess people these days do really care more about playing around in their playstations and such.:)
I hope you keep keeping us posted here in the blog, and wish you all the best in both SG Universe all other projects you work in.
You are a gorgeous woman. No arguments there. Personally, if they use lifts, with your hair, you'd make a perfect Wonder Woman.
I think the criticisms are most aimed at the producers for not having made your character memorable so far except for the way you fill out your t-shirts. Or, the sex scene. No no, wait, it's just that normally in such a narrative, it means the dude is a player and we won't be seeing that girl again. (Think the opening scenes of any James Bond film. Do we ever see that chick again? Does she ever become the main character?)
If Amanda Tapping had first been seen doing it with Richard Dean Anderson instead of making that silly retro-feminist statement about where her reproductive organs are, she'd have been seen differently for a very long time. And right now, SGU has been on for what, three weeks? Don't worry about the criticisms so far. If the writers have actually make you into someone by the end of the first season, cool. I sure hope so.
Guess the main question is, now that you are near the end of the first season's filming.. do we learn anything about your character?
Will we be able to answer even half of the blanks in the following sentence: Lt. Vanessa James, a native of [[city, state]] whose parents were [[profession]], and who has her degree in [[subject]] from [[insert University here], has interests in [[whatever]]? Y'know, like Daniel Jackson was from the University of Chicago, or Jack had that cabin in Minnesota.
And yes, I said bachelor's degree, since that's required by any branch of the US Military to be officer material. Part of the disaffection I'm feeling for the show is that SG-1 was considered recruiting material by the USAF and that's why the military lent them cool toys like real nuclear submarines to make one of the DVD movies with. Here, so far, we're getting get grunts, Mr. Angry Man (Greer), Shadowy General with a Mysterious Purpose (Telford), Young Officer with Girl Issues/Top Gun (Scott). They are stereotypes so far. And SGA left wondering if Coop and Co can create real, breathing people. I hope your cast can be. =)
Dear Julia,
You might want to go into your Settings and pick another background color or typeface color. Black background with dark red type makes it hard to read (unless one chooses to SELECT ALL).
I made similar mistakes when I first set up a Blogger blog. Have mercy on your readers!
Indeed... I'm sure there are lots of fans out there that wouldn't mind tweaking your (or even creating an entirely custom) blog theme to make it more appealing. :)
+1 : I have really rubbish eyes (a combination of major astigmatism and other crapitude) so something a bit more legible would be great, ta! :-)
JIM COLE Hi julia:)i watched most of the stargate series from the begining(perhaps a bit sad!!)Saying that it's good for escaping reality! What do you think of ROBERT CARLYE?? ive enjoyed the first 4 episodes, and YES it's a bit difficult as a red blooded male not to notice ure chest:)i'll definetly keep watching...good stuff!:)
Hello Julia,
I think the franchise's direction change from the previous formula might be a bit risky but have enjoyed the show so far.
And you are hot :) - I don't think my Mrs is too happy with my grin when you are on screen though :)
Bryan
The visability will only make your Q rating go up. This is Science Fiction. Young Guys with hormones out of control, so they will pay attention. Now it is up to you to hit the ball out of the park with solid acting. My fingers are crossed for you.
Hey great to see your blog, and welcome to the SG milieu. You've done a great job so far and I was really searching out who you were cause I didnt see you identified on the website list of the cast and such, but you've got a regular speaking role.
As for your assets, I was shocked to see Lt Scott and the senators daughter going at it in "Light", I thought from "Air, pt 1" that your character and he had a thing going. What happened with that? Are we going to see more of Scott two timing or some sort of showdown or what?
new website http://www.JuliaBenson.net
Hi Julia, I'm just going to hope that like Joseph Mallozzi you'll answer comments to your blog ... I was an amateur stage actor for a couple of years, never had anything to do with TV acting - but it shouldn't be too different, emotion-wise. Now just having seen "Light" I'm insanely curious as to how it felt when you were chosen in the lottery, and especially the moment you entered your shuttlecraft. You came over as pretty ... composed. Would be very interesting to hear about the "inside view" of yourself during that situation :-)
Julia,
I've been a fan of SG from the original movie, and from what I have seen so far with Universe, I really like the direction of this show. The lack of music on most parts of the shows reflect a lot from BSG, but I am sure that wasn't intentional. From an acting point of view, your character being chosen in the lottery in Darkness; it looked as though she had made her mind up either way; devotion to duty regardless of choice. I really appreciate that. As a retired member of the USAF, I worked with many females, some of which looked as good as you do. It was always professional though, and I am glad that you are portraying that character like you are. I also appreciate your post. Everyone is seeing what people thrust into an environment as unique as what is being portrayed in the show will do; how they will act, what emotions they are going through, physical attractions, nuances, and as-of-yet-to-be-developed character interaction, etc. I think that we have a lot left to see. I am hoping that the writers give your character more exposure. Your portrayal is spot-on, and I appreciate smart, tough females to balance out the ego trip guys get on. I also fully appreciate intelligence as well. Thanks for all your hard work on this show and I wish you great success. Keep up the good work!
Hi Julia,
I just wanted to say that you are doing a fabulous job on SGU! I love your character and you are a great addition to the SG family and a great addition to the beutiful collection of smart, talented, confident, natural, women of the francise! I wish you all the best in the series and am looking forward to seeing your character develope further!
I've been a fan of the franchise for years and I am loving Universe. I hope we get to see more of your character.
I am correcting an earlier posting. In the posting from "bo" I meant to say that the lottery was in the episode "Light" rather than in "Darkness". Obviously, I need to research more and not post until I have the facts straight. I apologize for that. Thanks.
I will admit your assets most certainly stood out in that episode, but just consider it a Breast Cancer Awareness Month advertisement. I'm a little surprised to learn there was any controversy at all, you were dressed completely appropriate for the scene. In any event, you have a great attitude about it and I'm glad it has spurred you to interact with new fans. I only learned of your blog by reading your IMDB entry, glad I did.
Good for you. Nothing wrong with acknowledging human sexuality. I trust they'll work in at least one gay character too. It would certainly be interesting territory; a gay man trapped with a (presumably) heterosexual crew on an out-of-control space craft would definitely be an interesting area to explore.
Having seen Leiutenant Vanessa James interacting with the crew I am certain there is a lot more yet to come from her. I also believe she will always have a deep, sultry sexuality to a lot of the things she says and does.
As for those affore mentioned assets, WOW. Julia Benson has one of the sexiest bodies and most perfectly formed tits on TV right now. This sites existence is proof to that. Couple that hot tank top with the sexy black underwear and you have a lethal combination that can turn a man into a dribbling mess in mere seconds.
Needless to say there is going to be more from the Leiutenants character as the story progresses. However there is also going to be a varied use of her stunning looks and natural sexuality.
"cuz nobody wants to see Carter no more,
they want Vanessa,
her tits are bigger."
The lyrics above aren't entirely true, I still wana see Carter. I just looked up the shoot Amanda Tapping did and sheesh, mind blowing.
She is incredible, I never knew she was in her Forties. I thought early Thirties at most.
ok i was a fan of battlestar galactica and i like that there is sex in the sci-fi universe and sexuality. I mean the cast is hot and the story is great ... I mean i always liked that sg1 and Atlantis had real people in it but the characters on here are like what people might actually do ...the doctors a dick the lt is a horny marine and your character is a natural hottie that is just not a supermodel in a uniform like so many other sci-fi shows. and the reaction to you wearing your tank top by the guys was classic ..( I did the same thing) so when your character was crying on the shuttle i felt it so and. If you weren't such a good actress that shocker wouldn't have been such a big deal ....anyway keep sex and sexuality in sci-fi long live stargate-u
I just wanted to say that I am truly amazed at SGU. I've watched the other Stargate shows and I just didn't care for them. There is something very special about SGU. I think it might be the direction but I'm not sure...there just seems to be a different feel to it, more serious, more thoughtful somehow...hard to say.
Anyhow, thanks for the show and for giving me something to watch. :)
Good One..Keep Posting
Jack

Not to keep going on about the episode of Stargate Universe where Julia Benson's Character ~ 2nd Lt.Vanessa James makes sure we remember her character, but what an impact she made with that tight Tank Top. My fav girl out of the cast was Alaina Huffman's character ~ Medical Officer Tamara Johansen but after seeing Julia walking around the corridors of the Starship Destiny in her Tank Top & Pants, I'm now thinking Alaina, You've got competition babe!! Nice to know that Julia herself has had a good sense of humour about it all, as I'm sure she wants to be credited for fine acting & not just her incredible assets. Anyway good luck with the series Julia to you & the rest of the cast & we will look forward to the next episode of Stargate Universe. Ciao
She has such fantastic breasticles.
This is becoming sickening. Can't you guys just suppress your desire to speak about breasts all the time? Sad.
You certainly have gained everyone's attention with 'Darkness'! I wish you greater success as the series continues!
Conga-ratz on the role. I love the show. There really is no big stir about your boobz. You wouldn't have gotten the role if you were an "A" cup, or ugly for that matter in the first place. We can see average everyday, anywhere we look. Feel free to relesh in the knowledge that you're extrodinary. I like looking at you. I look forward to seeing more of you as an actress. I hope the naked pictures of you that are out there, get posted on the internet soon ;->
Dear Julia,
I personally think your character is awesome and I thoroughly enjoy the show. I work in the Emergency Room all day, and I must say it is nice to come home and watch the DVR and see such a good pick-up after Stargate Atlantis. Also, your breasts are awesome and there is no reason you should ever be ashamed of God's great handiwork! I think anyone claiming the show is sexist is sexually repressed or has some kind of issues going on they need to see a shrink about. Keep up the great work!
-William Wallace
Your assets caught my eye the first time, lol. And now with this sincere post, you really caught my eye a second time. I'm officially a fan now.
I wish you the best! **
Hey Julia... I love the show. Whats it like working with Carlyle? I like your Character so far... I am hoping we are going to see you in some action soon, and develope your character more and not just as a love interest. Not only that your assets ...top to bottom are simply lovely. Glad your on the show and will be watching weekly
I think you're doing a fine job and that you should all just tune out the Internet Fools. I watched "Atlantis," but wouldn't really call myself "a fan" of that show. I watched it because there was little or nothing else in terms of sci fi to watch. In truth, I was very much of the "take it or leave it" mind-set with respect to that prior SG series. SG-1 lost me after two seasons, when I simply tuned out because I could no longer tolerate what it stood to offer.
SGU is the first "mature" "Stargate" series for the franchise by comparison, and I applaud the guts of you and the rest of the creative team for taking this series into a bold new direction and feel you have all been doing a mostly wonderful job so far and would encourage you to keep it up, and to Hell with the Internet mind-numbed drones. They don't know what they're talking about anyway obviously.
Hmmm, that is a good way of putting it, the "Mature Stargate" I like that. Great show, keep up the good work!
I was so impressed and glad to see your success. Very happy to see you interacting with your fans! ^_^. I wish you greater success as the series continues that you can handle.

I await your next posting... please share more, even when your character doesn't create a stir. I would like to know more about you. Information about you is sparse at best and it is always nicer to learn about the people I enjoy watching from them and not crazed fans. Maybe about what else you are working on. BTW after many episodes of SGU I am finding the writing and acting better than previous Stargate franchises. I hope they don't lose the seriousness of the situation.
Okay, Julia, we're waiting for that next post from you. That's the thing about a blog: it needs regular infusions of content or your reader's will get impatient with you.
You know how you make a connection with someone and it just wastes away because you didn't keep up your side of it? That's what could happen here...
i just want to thank you for doing that fantastic scene in Masters of Horror. after being blown away by you in that episode of SGU, i scoured the internet to see more of you, and i was very happy with your previous work. keep showing off your natural assets and you'll be the next Christina Hendricks. you are incredibly gorgeous, and i'm a fan of yours now regardless of how well SGU does!
p.s. Call me! haha
Hello Gorgeous. I was going to join your blog on Halloween, but I guess Friday the 13th will have to do. Nothing like a little controversy to get one starts a blog. I really like to show so far with its dark edge. So far this Stargate seems darker that SG1 and SG Atlantis. Hopefully, Eli won’t be the only one providing comic relief. It will be interesting to see how your character interacts with Eli and especially Chloe.
**SPOILER**We all got a little taste of that in the episode ‘Water’. Also, I wander if the swarm will be back. **SPOILER**
Hopefully your character will be continually developed a special operation officer in the military should have an interesting back story. Good luck!!!
It's unfortunate that you both felt the need to reply to this issue, and that you "had to" in the first place. People need to GTFU. You are very obviously a great actress. I think that is self-evident and therefore should go without saying. The fact that you are "well-endowed" is just a nice plus. (for some people who like that sort of thing, most of whom are probably "guys") Just let us have our fantasies and let it go. There is a reason why many actresses are "beautiful" and attractive, and the same can be said for males in their own way as well. People need to stop being stupid and acting like children. Next "they" will want you to wear a veil because you have a beautiful face. Or baggy pants because you have a nice ass. Or pants or a long dress because you have nice legs. And who knows what these Idiots would want you to do to cover or disguise the fact hat your skin is so smooth it's like living silk. And on that note, you'll have to excuse me while I go take care of something real quick. Anyway, Illegitimi Non Carborundum. [sic]
p.s. The only way it would have been, or could have been, better than it was, is if there had been hard, erect, turgid nipples on display. I can only imagine what an uproar that would have caused above and beyond what there already was. Some would have screamed for an X rating, no doubt. Especially considering your extraordinary "endowment" in that area, as well, which I recently had the great and wonderful opportunity to experience while viewing a clip from a scene you did in a movie that I found online. My goodness. I do believe I am In Love. I would attempt a poem specifically in their honor, a tribute to their exquisite beauty, espousing glorification, adoration and adulation, and lauding every aspect of their divine perfection, perhaps stopping just this side of divine worship, but I can in no way come close to achieving proper and adequate description and prose, so I shall merely suffice to love them from afar, and without hope. And, as I stated above, the rest of you ain't half bad neither.
Actually, I like the scene before that when you wanted to talk to Eli "alone" and took him into room with all the others. You looked hot in that t-shirt and uniform ... OK, I have to admit to being an Army vet and I like women in uniform.
I had some trouble finding out who was playing Lt. James from the online credits, but I'm glad I found you, Julia.
LOVE the show and LOVE your work. Lt. James is essential for this story to be real. Not just bc of her looks (which IS important), but bc of her strength. She is an Air Force Special Ops officer who is beautiful! THAT is NOT an easy thing to be! She is definitely tough. Even though she's just a 2LT, and may not have much experience in the Air Force yet, she made it into SpecOps and so, must have inate strength within her.
She caught my attention from the start. You play her very well and I hope we get to see more of her (and yes, I meant it that way too). Speaking of...I've read some of the former posts. LT James wouldn't care what people thought about her in a t-shirt, a tank top or naked for that matter, as long as it was accomplishing the mission.
I hope the writers can see what is obvious to me (and many other fans of the show), and give LT James her due. Oh, and I believe you are a GREAT choice for this role since the Air Force has the best looking women in uniform.
All the best, Julia. I'll be watching.
Superb Show and I look forward to seeing more of you in it!
From and aspiring Scottish actor in New Zealand,
all the best for your career!
